Some storage units are located on the driveway, whilst others are inside buildings. When choosing a storage unit you should consider which type best suits your needs as it will make a lot of difference to your storage experience.
Drive Up Storage Units
A drive up unit is one where the door opens directly onto the driveway. You drive up directly to it and park in front of the door. Loading and unloading is therefore very easy. No need to use trolleys to move your belongings.
These units can also be used as a garage to park a car or a trailer.
These are perfect if:
At Catts our drive up units start from a medium size up to an extra large size.
Internal Storage Units
These units are located inside buildings and they are usually smaller in size. At Catts they start from a locker to the largest unit in our medium size range.
In some storage facilities these may be located up a floor and access is via stairs or a lift. At Catts all our units are on the ground floor and all are close to an exit door.
You should consider these units if:
Drive up AND Internal
Why not combine both? Here at Catts some of our internal units are right at the building entrance door. Given that our buildings have on average 8 entrances, we have plenty of those. Park at the door, and load / unload at leisure.
